Messenger is automatically updated from the school’s MIS several times a day to ensure that information is current. Should more immediate updates be required, users are able to ‘refresh’ the data at any time e.g. if a late register has been taken and up-to-date attendance information is required.
When the MIS information is sent to Groupcall Messenger is it encrypted and therefore sent securely. Groupcall Messenger has the additional feature of being able to write back attendance information to the school’s MIS, allowing teachers to take action in response to parent’s SMS or email replies. The MIS can then be updated with updated attendance marks directly from within Messenger.
Write-back functionality isn’t available for all MISs yet. We work closely with MIS providers and this list is always growing, so please contact Groupcall directly to find out if your MIS is supported.
